It looks so good and they even make cashew cheese that I saw in this raw foods book and have been intrigued ever since. They also offer this coconut carob pie that makes me salivate just to speak the words. Everyone out there let me know if you have tried it or let me know what you think. Cream of Buckwheat-Breakfast Staple

So here is the brand of cream of buckwheat that I buy, it is so delicious and easy to make!! I have tried buckwheat groats and they are just so thick and crunchy. I felt the same way about aramanth I just felt that I had to put on a lot of sugar to cut the grain feeling they had. Nothing tastes as good or as close to oatmeal as this cream of buckwheat. So simple and delicious,  I have hot cereal in just under 15 minutes, everyone has time for that! Also, I like to make it ahead and coat an ice cube tray with some olive oil spray and put the hot cereal right in the tray and freeze it. Then about 30 minutes later I pop out the cubes and put into a ziploc baggie. Then in the morning I just pop about 3-4 cubes in the microwave with a little water and it is perfect. Usually I put some almond or rice milk in with the cereal and add some cinnamon or nuts. I have even tried swirling in some cashew butter which is fabulous if you want an extra nutty treat. I even like dates which give it an even sweeter taste or berries, the possibilities are endless!

Simply Boulder Sauces, Hello Gourmet!!!

I have a completely new and delicious obsession!! Ok, so needless to say I am so eager to try new products and have lots of obsessions. So when I saw that these sauces were made with agave nectar, olive oil, and were gluten and dairy free I literally jumped for joy! Then I got a hold of a coupon and a recipe card with fabulous recipes to try with their sauces. So I tried Honey Mustard and had a cobb salad with turkey bacon, eggs, carrots, and beets and was hooked!! I (no exaggeration here, I sware!) ran to Vitamin Cottage and bought Lemon Pesto, and Pineapple Ginger, and there were two others that also looked heavenly. So needless to say I have already made the Lemon Pesto Pasta salad that was on the recipe card and almost devoured a good half of the salad already and it was so easy!!! It was so explosive with bits of lemon, tomato, red pepper, onion, broccoli, and pesto that I almost cried. You just never think pasta salad is going to enter your vocabulary once you find out you can't have gluten or dairy. At $5.50 a bottle they are definitely worth the little piece of gourmet heaven that you feel when eating them. Next on my list to make is a Pineapple Ginger Chicken Stir Fry that is making me hungry already. They are great as dressings, marinades, and sauces. So go try them you will not regret it!!!

Study Time at Mugs!

So with two tests next week, ahh I can't believe I already have tests, ugh, I am desperately trying to find places that are hip and fun to study at. The other dilemma is to find places that offer milk other than soy and food that is gluten free. Well after talking to some friends and doing some research I found that Mugs Coffee in Old Town was the perfect place for me to go. They offer a ton of gluten free options and rice milk!! I jumped for joy as soon as I found this out, yay this is perfect I thought. Well, so today here I am enjoying a rice milk chai having already devoured a gluten free pita with pesto and hummus, guacamole, and a olive tapenade on the side and a side salad with sprouts, cucumber, tomato, and spinach! So delicious what can I say!! The pita was insanely good, soft, chewy, and I have to say my favorite side was the olive tapenade. All I can say is that I want to get another one, that is how good it was. I am already craving it! The chai was good, a little too sweet and I might try coffee on my next visit but overall up to my satisfaction. It was a little pricey for everything, about $15 for the pita, salad, and drink but I figure I don't do this every day and I was desperate to try everything!  So I have been here over 2 hours and the time has flown by. I have read almost all of my chapters for my buyer behavior class and only two more for finance. So go my friends to Mugs you will love it!!!!! The music, atmosphere, food all is amazing.
